now that this grueling weekend is over, time to sleep, wake up and draw some damn pones.
I *offered* to help out at a marina for the weekend, and washing dishes for 12 hours straight sucks. One day in and I’m hating my decision. Tomorrow is the major rush day, so it’s going to suck more. But thankfully all that’s left is tomorrow and Sunday. 9 bucks an hour, untaxed, which is good, so I’ll get around $300 bucks and it’ll help pay the expenses for this upcoming semester. I’ll use some of that money to open a checking account (and a paypal) so I can start selling those Assassin’s Creed insignias, and try taking in commissions.
Was hoping I could draw a couple things this weekend, but oh well. Doing this for school.
Finally getting my Dead Space cosplay off the ground, starting with the Engineering helmet from DS2. Made of craft foam, built from scratch without pepakura over the course of 2 or 3 days. Gonna touch up the glue work first where it’s needed. Needs to be sealed before painting, and you have no idea how badly I want to paint it right now!
But for about $12, I think I did pretty damn good. Still have no idea how I’m going to fit the LEDs/lighting and battery pack.

Got all 7 finished. A friend of mine is going to help me out and show me the ropes of online vending, so I can hopefully sell some.
Sorry for not being active as of late. I’ve been making copies of my belt insignia from my Ezio cosplay, in hopes of selling some to kickstart a future cosplay project. I feel like I’m slowly coming out of that art block, too.

I think I will submit something to the Mine’s Got Rocks in It zine http://minesgotrocksinit.tumblr.com/ just for the fun of it. I don’t know if my crap is good enough to qualify, or if it’s just 1 submission per person, but at least I learned a bit about photoshop in the end. Touched up these two just in case.
